Foreclosure Actions Continue to Increase in Tough Economy
Putnam’s alarming rate of foreclosure actions continues to rise.
First Deputy County Clerk Michael Bartolotti reported last Friday 121 foreclosures had been initiated for the first quarter of 2013—a 100 percent increase from the 60 foreclosures that occurred for the same three month period last year.
In 2012, 331 foreclosure actions occurred countywide.
