Putnam Jail Revenue Continues to Climb
A shift in Putnam’s jail population has resulted in an unexpected increase in revenue for county coffers.
Following a $115,000 decline in board-in revenue for the first five months of the year compared to 2011, an availability of empty cells at the 128-cell lock-up since that time has resulted in an unanticipated infusion of $119,000 through Nov. 30.
