Roger Perry Preserve: The ‘White Sands’ of Dover
The Hudson Valley has its own, albeit very small, version of New Mexico’s White Sands National Monument. Part of the Nature Conservancy’s network of properties, the Roger Perry Memorial Preserve is a fascinating find, clearly a unique area for New York. The combination of white sand and cedar trees made it feel a lot more exotic than just Dover Plains, NY.
