Brewster man killed in northern Westchester crash

Eric Gross

A 26-year-old Brewster man was killed early Tuesday in a single car crash near the Chappaqua-Mt. Kisco border.

The Westchester County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Kristopher Stephenson.

Town of New Castle Police said Stephenson, who was alone at the time, died after his 1999 BMW hit two utility poles on Route 133 shortly after 1 a.m.

Police described the road as “winding and wooded” and said “excessive speed” played a factor for the tragic crash.
